Job Title: LNPF File Clerk (Pension Department)

Location: Farmers Branch, TX

About Us:

Laborers National Pension Fund is a multiemployer pension fund providing retirement benefits to union laborers for over fifty years. We are currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated File Clerk to join our Pension Department and support our team in managing pension-related records and tasks.

Duties:

· Pull files corresponding with mail received, date stamp, and distribute.

· Post correspondence once acknowledgements have been made by the pension department.

· Assist in answering the telephone and transferring calls as needed.

· Update records or files with new census information.

· Assist in the process of locating "missing" pensioners/participants.

· Update ACH information for pensioners.

· Update address, taxes, and union dues information for pensioners.

· Review participant's records to determine eligibility and apply Fund Rules.

· Type occasional letters, including familiarity with printing on letterhead and envelopes.

· Affix postage to envelopes, letters, and packages utilizing a small postage machine with a scale.

· Prepare paperwork to be sent to the scanner.

· File ledgers, pension folders, and miscellaneous correspondence.

· Box up month- and year-end files for storage.

· Follow office policies regarding confidentiality of information.

Requirements:

· Knowledge of 10-key.

· Must be able to type at least 40 WPM.

· Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.

· Minimum of 3 years' experience in an office environment.

· Motivated and independent worker.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to work in a small office environment amongst other co-workers.

· High school diploma or equivalent; no college necessary.

· Must pass a background check.

· Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
