Job Overview

Under the general direction of the Content and Creative Services Manager, the Videographer/Photographer produces dynamic short story videos and photography for DFW International Airport. This role entails excellent story-telling video skills video production filming, editing, post-production, photography, photo editing, including studio, indoor and outdoor photography. The Videographer/Photographer will produce content for social media platforms, digital and traditional marketing, external and internal channels, executive presentations, and others to help promote the Airport’s reputation and achieve its key results in DFW’s Strategic Plan.


What you will be doing:

  • Delivers dynamic storytelling by producing video or photographic content for social media platforms, digital and traditional marketing, external and internal channels, executive presentations, and channels.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to create and inspire unique, memorable content that enhances the DFW brand, adhering to brand guidelines and integrating consistent messages and tone across multiple channels.
  • Films, scripts, edits for short storytelling on social media, internal and external channels.
  • Assists with filming and photography during special events and emergency response activations as required.
  • Utilizes creative skills and mastery of technology, along with principles of videography and photography (including storytelling, color, composition, message hierarchy, and editing skills) to enhance the Airport’s visual stories’ appeal while preserving brand consistency across all media
  • Takes ideas and direction from multiple sources and incorporates those ideas into a single cohesive brand design through compelling storytelling. Plans and directs projects from inception to completion.
  • Film, shoot, script, and edit content in studio and external locations, including the airfield and other sites on and off campus, as required.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent title in videography, photography, graphic design, visual communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience creating visual content for social media, marketing, corporate communications, public relations, or multi-media journalism.
  • Portfolio of professional work as a videographer, scriptwriter, photographer, editor, or multimedia communicator.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

What we desire:

  • Technical Software: Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Photoshop, and Logic Pro.
  • Photography Techniques: Proficient knowledge of lighting techniques in both video and photography for indoor and outdoor environments using continuous, strobe, and flash/speed lighting. (3 Point Lighting, Split Lighting, Backlight, Soft Light, and Natural Light).
  • Audio Production: Proficient in audio production, using different microphones (Dynamic, Condenser & Ribbon microphones) for different environments and scenarios for video and studio recording.
  • Color correction/color temperature techniques: Adjusting Curves and RGB channels for digital, print and broadcast output.
  • Photo Editing: Proficient practices and techniques, exporting different file formats for digital and print output in all multimedia formats.
  • Internal/External Channel Designing and Exporting: Strong knowledge of digital and social
