Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
Performs complex duties related to the procurement of complex construction projects for the University System. Collaborates with Design and Construction Project Managers and Office of the State Engineer when necessary and in accordance with State and University procurement related policies, rules, and regulations. Serves as the contract administrator and manager for all Capital Projects related to construction. Provides customer service to all University stakeholders including faculty, staff and supplier community. Serves as liaison and consultant for University community including faculty, staff, suppliers and constituents, performs additional duties as necessary to support departmental and University mission, vision and objectives. Performs as a professional procurement officer.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of procurement experience which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC), CPPO or CPPB. NIGP- CPP is preferred. Knowledge of rules, regulations and provisions of the SC Consolidated Procurement Code, University policies and procedures with specific emphasis on construction related services and professional contract administration.

Must be proficient with computers with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
