- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of procurement/logistic experience, or equivalent professional or military experience
- 2+ years of experience with Excel and SQL
- Familiarity with procurement tools e.g. Coupa, FinOps Central
Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Intermodal team is seeking a Procurement Specialist. This role will maintain an open and consistent line of communication across internal cross functional teams and external vendor partners, and act as a part of a unit to promote team continuity. This role is a critical part of advancing overall execution for the Intermodal Team, and will be responsible for ensuring appropriate validation exists where necessary. The individual in this role will be reviewing and consolidating bid data, validating internal data against 3rd party records, and executing on internal tickets from stakeholder teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate and verify elements required for bids, including procuring rates
- Iterate and improve upon existing bid processes by continually creating templates and standard work
- Track and advance cost-savings efforts with vendors to benefit Amazon
- Organize and participate in meetings with vendors and cross functional teams throughout bidding and selection process, and act as liaison to resolve and respond to inquiries
- Monitor and send notifications for relevant rate files to appropriate teams
- Daily report analysis, notifications, and follow up for rates and verification for discrepancies
- Bi-weekly conducting of deprecation and launch notices, including sustained communication across groups
- Provide support for internal tickets requesting bids or procurement assistant
- Partner with business intelligence (BI) analysts and team to ensure high quality and low error rate on source file
- 4+ years of Procurement, Intermodal, or Logistics experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $35,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $84,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
