Job Description
The Production Clerk coordinates and completes administrative tasks to ensure optimal levels of production, customer service and compliance with business systems and company policies. Duties will also include production entry, inventory management, purchasing, data entry, general office duties and human resource administrative functions and while observing confidentiality of all team members and company information.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Purchase order creation and maintenance. Materials receiving to indicate product has been delivered and recorded in inventory. Metric data reporting. Accounts payable. Labor hour reporting.
- Daily entry of production and material usage information in ERP system (JD Edwards).
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering team member questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and benefits, which may include health, disability, and retirement plans.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, team member recognition events, holiday parties, training and retirement celebrations.
- Identify and react proactively to capacity constraints.
- Performs routine administrative tasks
- Perform all other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office, Adobe and database/ERP systems (JD Edwards). Able to learn or build upon existing knowledge of computer and/or database.
- Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong data entry skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
- Good communication skills both orally and in writing with all levels of team members.
- Ability to maintain personnel/payroll files and procedures according to laws and regulations.
- Work as an effective and proactive team player, understands the importance of supporting the plant, production, HR/Payroll functions along with collaborating professionally with team members and managers.
- Able to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Able to be flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.
- Understand and maintain confidential nature of company and team member information.
- Possess thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work. Possess effective problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, fast learner, shows initiative, willing to seek out department needs and meet them.
- Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.
- Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Ability to be flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.
