POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design and production of high-quality digital and graphic materials to ensure the brand standards of Cahuilla Casino Hotel through all platforms from print to online messaging.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promotes the highest degree of guest service to both external and internal guests.
  • Maintains production of all promotional collateral materials for the property and resizes as needed ensuring consistency of branding and messaging in all creative aspects.
  • Prepares layouts and oversee implementation of advertisement signage for both on and off property.
  • Prepares layouts for all back of house messaging.
  • Manages content and promotional updates for cahuillacasinohotel.com through WordPress platform.
  • Manages the social media strategy as defined by Director of Operations to increase visibility and traffic across all social platforms.
  • Facilitate and monitor all networking conversations to ensure they meet the brand guidelines and are addressed within 24 hours
  • Must efficiently produce graphic art and visual print collateral materials for promotions, advertisement, back of house and online through a variety of media outlets in a time sensitive manner.
  • Work with outside vendor to coordinate print production needs including cost estimates, submitting purchase order requests, proofing of files and delivery.
  • Organize and prioritize work load to ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain an archive system of all projects.
  • Promotes good inter-department relationships through effective communication.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including various shifts as needed, holidays, weekends and peak business times.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have two or four year degree in graphic arts, design or related field.
  • Must have a minimum of two years experience in design field or combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability.
  • Proficient in working with MAC platform in Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CMS (content management system) and other software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be able read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and work ethic.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to obtain and retain gaming license through the Cahuilla Tribal Gaming Agency.

Cahuilla Casino Hotel is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace. Any job offer is conditional upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes an extensive background security check.

If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a reasonable time agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail t meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled. A drug test will be required prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
