TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia & Las Vegas, NV. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Job Title: Production Planner

Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.

The right candidate will be well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Schedule shift according to production needs
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Keep paperwork organized
  • Collaborate with supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing and account management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
  • Ability to develop processes/specifications from conception to implementation
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, proficiency in the use of Excel are required

Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing necessary
  • Experience with SAP a plus

Education and Certifications:

  • Four-year College Degree preferred
