Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Architect fora confidential project in Washington, D.C that starts up in September. Duties and responsibilities vary and may increase according to grade level.
This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
+ Managing and overseeing studies, and design, for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of architectural engineering.
+ This position requires proficient in CAD and abreast of emerging technologies as well as IAW PWS Task 5.4.1
+ Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.
+ May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists.
+ May work on mid size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
+ BA/BS + 8 yeas of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ U.S. Citizenship required, due to the nature of the work.
+ Resident Architect (RA)
Preferred Qualifications
+ BS degree in Architecture and 15 years Architectural experience
OR
+ MS degree in Architecture and 3 years Architectural experience
OR
+ Project Architect II with 2 years WHS Pentagon experience pending government acceptance.
OR
+ A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience conducting architectural design, specification writing and client management. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with the Unified Facility Code and International Building Code.
