Job Description

The Project Lead is professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of executing to milestones on multiple complex projects.

  • Identify stakeholders and key organizations in order to build and manage relationships with each.

  • Direct the creation of multiple work projects and manage their alignment to business goals.

  • Lead the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work.

  • Drive adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.

  • Gather and document business requirements

  • Provide implementation / post-implementation project support

  • Foster and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, provide support, and testing

  • Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience in complex settings with multiple stake holders

  • Strong knowledge of financial services with focus on Banking, Lending and Investments products

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions

  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge

  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
