Job Description

Our Project Managers own product development cycles from project kickoff through initial product sales. They are the critical coordinator ensuring high quality and performance products are brought to market on time and on budget. Our Project Managers work with all departments to make sure all internal and external customers' needs are met through the product development cycle and launch. Beginning with the end in mind is key.

Responsibilities
Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include.

  • Communicate successfully with internal teams including customer service, engineering, product management, quality/process, purchasing, sales, marketing and creative, and operations
  • Responsible for understanding, coordinating, and driving project requirements to meet product launch goals - act as the central nervous system for product development projects.
  • Work interdepartmentally to create project scope, financials, timelines and project milestones to ensure that products are delivered on time, within budget and consistent with launch goals. Advise management of any issues requiring intervention.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines with regular updates and input from all parties involved in each project
  • Hold regular working project meetings with the appropriate attendees
  • Coordinate internal and external suppliers/resources to ensure key milestones are achieved
  • Raise critical issues to the appropriate levels of management when appropriate to keep projects on track
  • Provide support to departmental leaders in regard to team capacities, project priorities, and timelines
  • Help to develop key product development and launch gates to support continuous improvement of the product launch cycle
  • Document and present project status summaries for reports-outs such as management reviews and technical reviews
  • Mentor other tribe members on successful project management skills
  • Develop and track pre- and post-project metrics

Skill Set

To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:

  • 5+ years of project or program management experience
  • Mechanical or electrical product launch experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • PMP certification or similar training is preferred
  • Hands-on mind set with ability to work in an office environment
  • Proficient computer knowledge in word, excel, project, asana
  • High School degree, college degree preferred

This position requires manual dexterity for working with small components, ability to complete repetitive motions for long periods of time, bending, continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 50 lbs. and managing packages up to 150 lbs as well as standing/stooping for long periods of time.

We need a self-motivated Project Manager that has a desire to become an expert while sharing their knowledge with others. You'll have the ability to learn quickly through training and work independently in a fast-paced environment. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks. We need a Project Manager that has a positive attitude and the words "can't" and "impossible" are not a part of your vocabulary.

Availability
You must be available to work 40-50 hours per week between the hours of 6am-6pm.
