Project Manager - Healthcare

The Company

Our client is a well-established national general contractor located in Nashville and other US markets.

Experience with Commercial, Health care, High rise, tilt wall, and other structure types is desired. In addition, the ability to transcend those experiences to manage other types of projects.

This Construction Dynasty has built out an excellent sub-base and only wants to work with vendors and trade partners that align with expediting the process and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The job

The selected candidate must have extensive experience with healthcare construction projects ranging from $10-100MM. Experience in new construction and renovation projects is preferred. Managing scheduling, cost control, document management, subcontractor coordination, vendor coordination, and finish phase operations, including punch, closeout, and warranty issues, will be the primary responsibilities of this position. Additionally, the candidate must have expertise in managing the Owner/Client relationship and junior staff onsite.

The Responsibilities:

Manages the entire project operations within the job scope in coordination with the senior project manager. Managing the project with the superintendent.

Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority according to the work plan, establish operational priorities, and outline the work plan.

-Help negotiate issues during the project, including change orders, contingency expenditures, and appropriate fee enhancements.

-Award subcontracts and help assign personnel to bid on projects.

-Supervise completion of punch list and follow up all warranty work through to close/out.

-Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

Responsible for managing the owner-architect relationship in complex design changes and construction tasks.

-Responsible for the full cadre of contract management

- Hold Quality Control at the highest level of importance as well as Safety Procedures.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, with a preference for Construction Science or a related field
  • Typically at least 5+ years of construction project management experience
  • Preferred 3-4 years of Senior/Supervisory Project Manager experience in commercial construction on healthcare projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
