PROJECT MANAGER, CULINARY

Reporting to the Senior Director, Culinary; the Project Manager, Culinary will work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment with the team that creates the food content for PLANTA. The Project Manager, Culinary will input, update, edit and cost food/recipe content across both print and digital platforms. They will work on improving recipes and preparation methods to meet mass production, training, and regulatory needs.

  • Spearhead aggregation and buildout of recipe database
  • Spearhead buildout of ingredient database to align all brands and units
  • Edit and input recipes for accuracy, clarity, quality, and consistency for print and digital platforms
  • Manage and keep track of recipe changes, updates, and testing
  • Identify recipes that need to be edited, or otherwise fixed, and lead efforts to fix and update
  • Help organize and track recipes through various indexes, then optimize content and cost
  • Identify, analyze, and create SOPs to align all brand procurement to improve cost control and pricing structure with suppliers and GPOs
  • Project manage and work directly with Culinary Leaders in each location to establish a structured menu rollout and development process that is linked to all updated or new recipes for internal training and testing
  • Communicate with Executive Culinary Leaders to manage/update recipes, allergen matrixes
  • Oversee and execute NationWide Shipping, which includes, but is not limited to, coordinating the team, assisting with building out of bundles, managing p&l and increasing sales and profit, collaborating with marketing, spearheading holiday rollouts, and nutritional labeling
  • Acts as a liaison with teams to ensure changes received are executed correctly and efficiently
  • Work on recipe audits and content updates as needed, ensure the allergen matrix is always accurate and updated
  • Work with Executive Culinary Leaders and restaurant teams to update the recipes for our new menu items; creating, testing, and refining recipes
  • Work with Executive Culinary Leaders to lock in the best pricing for ingredients
  • Work with Executive Culinary Leaders to meet the timeline for menu changes and new menu rollouts
  • Collaborate to successfully execute new restaurant openings across the US by ensuring all recipes are updated and costed
  • Work closely with the Executive Culinary team for all new store openings
  • Work closely with L&D for smooth execution of recipes for OPUS training for all HOH Management
  • Assist with task force travel and restaurant coordination

INGREDIENTS YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Have a culinary background and possess strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail
  • Recipe or food editing experience; excellent written and verbal skills with laser focus for typos, errors, or inconsistencies
  • Fully understand and embody PLANTA’s can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you
  • Strong strategic and operational planning capability
  • A skilled writer and recipe editor who is open to new ideas and changes, quick
