Job Title:
Property Management Compliance Supervisor

Supervisor: Executive Director

Effective Date: June 1, 2023


Salary: $60,000 to $80,000


JOB SUMMARY
The Property Management Compliance Supervisor is responsible for leasing and regulatory duties at several agency owned properties. Duties include supervision of the live-in property managers to ensure rent collection, building security, coordination with Maintenance Supervisor, and acting as liaison between other Community House departments, outside regulatory agencies, and vendors. Property Management Compliance Supervisor will need to work closely with Executive Director to ensure tax credit compliance, asset management plans, and comply with Landlord Tenant regulations including eviction duties in coordination with the attorney group that assists if evictions occur. Will work to promote continued tenant residency by working with agency clinical team to identify issues that jeopardize tenancy.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains safe, sanitary living, and work environment, in coordination with live-in property managers.
  • Enforce leases, building rules, and responds to tenant complaints in a timely manner.
  • Oversees building maintenance through requisition of repairs to Maintenance Dept.
  • Maintains tenant lease files.
  • Coordinates and documents rental payments and security deposit payments with accounting department.
  • Provides data entry for funding sources per contract. Specifically, WBARS system.
  • Responds to building emergencies and initiates action as required per CHMHA guidelines.
  • Works collaboratively with other agency programs and staff.
  • Maintain office hours for tenants to drop-in with questions or concerns.
  • Attends tenant, community, or staff meetings as requested.
  • Posts all required notices within CHMHA and legal guidelines.
  • Assist tenants with required building paperwork (leases, certifications, utility bill set-up, etc.).
  • Participates in regularly scheduled tenant unit inspections.
  • Functions as coordinator of any agency voucher programs such as Shelter Plus Care.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS


Experience: One year of housing management experience. Experience with diverse, low-income, or special needs populations.


Other Qualifications: Must possess personal skills to resolve conflict and work with a diverse low-income population; good oral and written communications skills; problem solving; time management; and familiarity with basic computer software applications. Ability to acquire training as required by funders and regulatory agreements including Landlord Tenant training, Fair Housing training, and tax credit compliance training. Training will be paid and provided by the agency.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current First Aid and CPR cards.
  • Current home phone/address.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record in order to use

agency vehicles.

  • Documentation of personal insurance in order to use personal vehicle for tenant transport and

to use agency vehicles.

  • Agree to permit State Patrol Background Check.
  • Be free of substance abuse.
  • A working knowledge and adherence to all agency policies and procedures.

We strive to provide a comprehensive and valuable package of benefits to our employees. Full-time employment is defined as regularly scheduled 30 hours per week employment. Employees below 30 hours per week have benefits pro-rated to 50% down to 20 hours per week.
