The Technology Development team is looking for a QA Engineer to enhance our capabilities to track and improve the quality for new and exciting technologies. Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience as a Software QA Engineer
  • Passion for quality, exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven hands on experience with manual testing
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to describe and document clearly
  • Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and groups
  • Experience with developing, running, and triaging automated test suites
  • Experience in implementing initiatives across teams
  • Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems and independently work towards results
  • Experience in maintaining/enhancing test framework in scripting languages (e.g. Python)
  • Experience with computer vision/machine learning algorithms preferred

Description

As a QA Engineer in this role, you will work closely with algorithm design and development team to understand architectural diagrams, and utilize the information to develop QA strategies. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining manual and automated test plan used in the testing of computer vision/machine learning algorithms and applications. This also includes monitoring algorithm quality & testing result analysis, tracking bug reports and driving them to resolution. Job Duties: Design, develop and maintain test plans for the algorithms being tested Performing manual and automated validations to ensure the quality of the algorithm Analysis of test results and creation of clear and actionable bug reports Work in an automated testing pipeline (integration + system + functional + use case validation) driven by a Continuous Integration framework. Work with Continuous Integration tools (e.g. ATP, Jenkins) Working cross-functionally with numerous teams from a variety of disciples across Apple, including hardware/software development, developer tools, design, QA and project management

Education & Experience

BS or MS CS/CE/EE (or equivalent)

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in test automation frameworks that involve HW & SW subsystem
  • Experience with macOS, iOS and Xcode

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $109,500 and $171,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
