Quality Control Manager


The position of Quality Control Manager supports the designated leadership with simple, accurate evaluations of the quality of work being performed and compliance with the Scope of Work. The importance of the role cannot be over emphasized and is best approached form the viewpoint that you work equally for the Company and the Customer. This role is responsible for inspected work completion and quality, document deficiencies and calling out recognition of quality work. Ideally a customer representative is present during every inspection and at the conclusion of an inspection, regardless of whether a customer has been present or not, every customer should be surveyed as to how the organization is doing in providing the required services. This employee will be responsible for the ISO-9001-2015 program.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to interact with a wide range of customers
  • Have an eye for detail and understanding of acceptable work product
  • Inspect work to ensure it is done properly and completely
  • Audit employees present during inspections passively to ensure they perform work safely and properly
  • Proper mixing and use of chemicals
  • Understanding of chemical applications
  • Understanding of equipment applications
  • Assess cleanliness requirements
  • Perform an inspection of each site visited
  • Create and assign work tickets
  • Follow up on customer requests
  • Verify and close work tickets
  • Identify tag opportunities daily
  • Ability to use computer devices
  • Understanding of specific Scope of Work requirement
  • Understanding of general cleaning functions for both Cleanroom and Janitorial
  • Perform building cleanliness inspections both from a Janitorial to Cleanroom
  • Perform written and technology-based audits of employee work practices
  • Observe work being performed passively for accuracy and safety.
  • Have a broad working knowledge of facility usage and work activities.
  • Know, understand, and follow all company and facility safety procedures.
  • Maintains appropriate records and reports.
  • Generates quality reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Responsibility for the ISO -9001 -2015 program.
  • Work to ensure all employees during the auditing process are tested to ensure they understand the STEP program.
  • Will work with Ops to review any incident that may occur within 12 hours of occurrence.

Skills & Ability

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations.
  • Ability to maintain records and produce reports.
  • Extreme attention to detail.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Two (2) years of similar work experience.
  • Completion of Basic, Advanced and Supervision Training for knowledge base.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend at the waist turn and rotate upper and lower body
  • Ability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to grasp and hold frequently
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to Driver a company car
  • Perform repetitive functions
  • Work in an environment the contains low amounts of dust
  • Work in an environment that has low odors of chemicals
  • Work in a facility while regular business activities are taking place without being intrusive
  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee must be able to hear clearly.
