Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports to the Director of Operations. Responsible for providing operational assistance, support and guidance to the Maintenance Managers to achieve excellent safety results, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction while maintaining quality standards and meeting operational and financial goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Oversees the Maintenance Managers, financial and technical activities of Operations and Maintenance in a specific region.
  • Coordinate development of Site’s annual operating plan and budget.
  • Provide support during busy Peak season.
  • Participate in SEV calls, Coordinate action plans, and close out Trouble Tickets.
  • Routinely reviews metrics, budgets, OT hours for designated regional sites.
  • Interface with all Maintenance Managers, Area Maintenance Manager and customers on a periodic basis.
  • Maintain client relationships; own overall end-to-end customer service experience.
  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of assigned sites to include: staffing levels, budgets and performance goals. (KPI’s)
  • Plan, develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure the operating quality, environmental compliance and safety of assigned sites.
  • Establish site and Maintenance Manager goals and conduct performance appraisals/reviews.
  • Recommend recognition and/or disciplinary action of personnel as necessary.
  • Coordinate with HR and Director of Operations to recommend appropriate compensation levels.
  • Conduct regular relationship meetings with Plant GM.
  • Compliance with ELS Safety program policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the employer’s insurance policy.
  • Perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 2 years Amazon experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in service provision, adhering to contract terms.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.
  • Strong administrative, communication and leadership skills and abilities, including verbal and written communication, judgment, organizational development, coaching and counseling.
  • Basic knowledge of State and Federal Employment laws.
  • Basic knowledge of fulfilment centers or distribution warehouses, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years’ experience in a high-level service industry management position
  • Strong administrative, communication and leadership skills and abilities, including verbal and written communication, judgment, organizational development, coaching and counseling.

  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
  • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during site visits
  • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
  • Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length
  • Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
  • Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned
  • Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily
  • Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Varies between an office environment as well as all areas located in a distribution center. May be around dust, dirt and noise levels above OSHA minimum requirements. Use of PPE required.
