Sample Librarian job at Stark Carpet in New York, NY 10022

Job Description

STARK is seeking a Sample Librarian in our flagship New York showroom. This is a great opportunity for design industry enthusiasts to start up with one of the biggest names in the field. Incumbent is eligible for medical, dental, vision, FSA, TransitChek, 401K and PTO benefits.

Job Responsibilities

Organize sample returns and distribute them to their appropriate boxes in the sample room
Replenish sample boxes and order cuttings as needed
Receive and fill incoming sample request forms, distributing them to employees and clients after completion
Enter new product information into spreadsheets as necessary
Remove, print, and add inventory labels to incoming samples
Track outgoing samples and add appropriate data to spreadsheets
Take photos of custom samples and showroom blankets, uploading them to all appropriate channels
Keep the sample room cleaned at all times; trash duties, vacuuming
Occasionally assist with flipping and rolling rugs for delivery and for client viewing
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Employment in this role requires joining DISTRICT 6, INTERNATIONAL UNION OF INDUSTRIAL, SERVICE, TRANSPORT AND HEALTH EMPLOYEES (IUISTHE)
Must possess a pleasant demeanor, interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task and speak in a clear, articulate manner
Interest in the design industry is preferred
2 years' experience in organizing samples or similar job function
Frequently communicates with coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Must be able to lift 15lbs
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
