Job Description


Pay Range: $81,000 to $112,000 per year.

The Production Sanitation Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day sanitation operations in the Turlock FTP 1 facility.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan and direct all sanitation functions including determination of staffing, chemical usage and supply decisions.
  • Daily communication with USDA personnel for plant compliance.
  • Monitor and control chemical inventories.
  • Maintain HAACP, SSOP’s and GMP’s for compliance.
  • Routinely inspect equipment for proper cleaning and work pre-op with USDA Inspectors (Daily).
  • Train all sanitation employees in safety and complete annual required training by Foster Farms (JSTA’s).
  • Initiate purchase requisitions and Materials Request Cards for spare stock in inventory.
  • Coordinate monthly Safety Meeting with all personnel and hold annual Chemical and Hazardous Material training class

Qualifications
  • Must have a B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience: three to five (3-5) years sanitation experience in a poultry or related industrial environment to include some supervisory experience with emphasis on leadership and communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must have chemical product and safety knowledge
  • Must be able to evaluate line Team Members fairly and objectively.
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office
  • Must have the ability to interface on daily basis with all support groups or departments.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Must be able to submit to and successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
