The Company:

Prep with Jen is a boutique tutoring business specializing in standardized test prep for high school students. Founded in 2015, we strive to demystify the test prep process and empower students to reach their own potential.

The Position:

Our tutors work with students one on one and in small-group settings. We take care of the back-end logistics so you can focus on teaching.

Responsibilities:

• Plan engaging lessons that focus on both the “why” and the “how”
• Assess students’ progress and adjust lesson plan as needed
• Collaborate with leadership

The ideal candidate should fulfill the following criteria:

• Strong performance on the SAT and/or ACT
• Have a Bachelor’s degree or are actively pursuing one
• Creative problem solver with a positive attitude
• Be organized, professional, and empathetic

Bonus qualifications:

• Have prior teaching or tutoring experience
• Have the ability to tutor multiple subjects

The Location:

Prep with Jen is based in Fairfax, VA, and most of our clients are local to the DC Metropolitan region. Therefore, having a car is preferable. However, we do also have remote teaching opportunities.
