Job Description: Job Summary:

This Sr Revenue Management & Pricing Analyst invests in the future of Southwest’s People by maximizing Passenger revenue in their assigned markets. This role works collaboratively with Teams throughout Revenue Management in order to understand markets and implement price points and competitive fare moves in these spaces. This Sr Analyst is responsible for markets of up to $600M annually, which includes working within top commercial priorities and expeditious fare changes in tight deadlines. This Sr Analyst will mentor others, help contribute to training, and own complex analytical responsibilities in their space. The Sr Revenue Management & Pricing Analyst is passionate about continuous learning and sharing knowledge, and they’re excited to contribute to the innovative, high-performing, and highly-visible Revenue Management Department. This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Responsibilities
Administer comprehensive view of market and city ownership; is able to see ahead and move forward with requisite course of action without being instructed by Leader
Represents Yield and Revenue Management in cross-team discussions; is qualified to speak on behalf of Yield Team in external setting
Identify outliers in forecasting system and make appropriate actions (for the most difficult and complex O&Ds)
Develop senior-level reports and presentations for Leadership and other departments on performance and future initiatives
Serves as a mentor and a Leader in Revenue Management
Leads or initiates analytical project outside of own markets
Completes analysis utilizing moderate Excel functions including, but not limited to: pivot tables, formulas, lookups
Monitor fare initiatives in assigned markets and work with Pricing Team to identify potential pricing actions
Understand how pricing adjustments impact demand forecasts and make adjustments as necessary
Create and manage flight level inventory, including post analysis after application
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge in understanding of economics and/or forecasting
Deep knowledge of revenue management principles
Knowledge of SQL and/or relational databases
Skilled in synthesizing action plans and communicating to others
Skilled at taking both the big picture and details into account
Skilled in proactively identifying project/analysis opportunities and prioritizing in context of other work
Ability to confidentially and clearly present presentations to Leaders
Ability to solve complicated analytical problems
Ability to make decisions in an ambiguous environment with little supervision
Ability to maintain high quality in complex situations with tight deadlines
Ability to prioritize own work and can actively make trade-offs considering the highest revenue opportunity or greatest sense of urgency
Ability to write concise communications with limited Manager guidance
Ability to challenge status quo that serves to increase efficiency
Ability to identify relevant items for communication without being coached by Leader
Ability to learn new skills in existing tools or new tools (Alteryx, Tableau, etc) Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
Revenue Management, Pricing, or similar analytical field
Presenting to Senior Executives
Microsoft Office including Excel or similar spreadsheet programs, SQL knowledge
Project Leadership

Preferred: Experience with revenue management, AVFM, and/or ATPCO
Licensing/Certification

Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $84,350 per year to $ $93,700 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
