TRISTAR is seeking a Senior Software Developer, Back End for our government customer in Crane, IN - This position is 100% remote

Position Description:

• Candidates with user experience / interface design experience strongly preferred
• Should be comfortable working autonomously
• Experience with virtualization technology and containers is preferred
• Participate in a team of developers to solve issues, create solutions, provide support for deployed applications
• Write, test, debug, and document software in C#
  

Position Responsibilities:

• Write, test, debug, and document new code in C# that adheres to modern best practices and standards
• Document code and engineering procedures
• Participate in virtual team meetings
• Assist in creation of user manuals and other technical documentation
• Help to facilitate functional testing of software
• Work autonomously and participate in a team of developers to solve issues, create solutions, and provide support for deployed applications

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of Software Developer experience in web-based technologies using a combination of the following: C#, Java, or similar, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core MVC, REST, JSON
• Experience with JavaScript, JS frameworks (e.g. Vue, React, Angular), Blazor, HTML, CSS, or other front-end / UI technologies is a plus
• Expert-level understanding of architecture and design patterns with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and clean coding
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, or similar
• Experience with source control such as Git, Subversion, or similar
• Experience in an Agile development environment
• Experience with project management software such as Jira, Gitlab, or similar
• Fluency in English
• MUST be a US Citizen
• Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance of secret level or higher; interim may be required before starting

Education and Certification:

• BS in Computer Science, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field preferred
• Industry certification required for IAT Level II in accordance with DoD 8570 (for example CompTIA Security+) - willing to obtain prior to start date
