Well known high end auto dealer is recruiting an Automotive Service Advisor to join our Service Department team. Automotive Service Advisor
Qualifications/Expectations:
- Highly motivated, reliable and dependable
- At least 2 years working as an automotive service advisor in a dealer or large independent repair shop
- Genuine friendly and welcoming personality and enjoys working with customers
- Focuses on educating customers as the basis of helping them make the right service and repair decisions
- Understands and can follow warranty repair documentation requirements
- Writes customer understandable descriptions of work and stories on each Repair Order.
- Experience with GM vehicles a preference
- Experience with dealership level DMS and scheduling systems such as CDK, Reynolds and Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.
- Demonstrated past experience in providing superior customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable strong work ethic
- Perform in a high paced auto repair shop atmosphere
- Team player who helps and supports all other team members
- Willingness to learn and embrace our customer focused philosophy of service advisement
Automotive Service Advisor Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers promptly when they pull into service bay
- Communicate with customers and ask questions to fully understand customer concerns
- Ensure the customer has a complete understanding of repairs (What, Why, Options and Costs) upcoming recommended factory services and recommended work
- Demonstrated experience handling service writing process from customer drop off to pick-up
- Understanding of communication and interaction with customers, technicians, parts department, cashier and others involved in auto repair process
- Commitment to maintain required factory certifications and training requirements
- Understanding of all service and repair aspects, terminology and functionality of auto systems and parts
- Provide helpful, caring support for all customer inquiries, whether by phone or in person to assure the customer has an exceptional experience
- Follow all internal dealership work processes and procedures to maintain consistency in how decisions are made and work is performed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
