The SOC Design Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Work with a team that owns the responsibility of designing integrated circuits with a focus in this internship on software tools supporting the design of integrated circuits.
- modifying code of existing design software tools to enhance features, debug and validate respective software code and/or developing new design tool capabilities for design data analysis.
- Support of executing simulation tools to verify compliance of integrated circuits to design and process rules.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must be pursuing a MS or PHD in Computer Science (CS), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or related field.
- Candidate must have proficiency working in the Unix/Linux OS environment scripting and have practical experience in the programming languages of PERL and PYTHON.
- Practical experience with GIT or a distributed version-control system for tracking changes in source code during software development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Fundamental background in VLSI circuit design and semiconductor technology.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00
- Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
