Position: Social Worker

Location: Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

Experience: Previous experience in sociology, psychology or social work in the geriatric setting preferred

Education: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) License required

Type: Full-time; Temp to Hire

Schedule: M-F 8 am to 4:30pm

Pay: $26/hour

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Social Worker to join our growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Collaborate with the Licensed Social Worker to complete assigned duties of the Social Services Department.
• Evaluate psychosocial needs and assess financial coverage or third-party coverage of possible admissions. Based on these assessments, discuss possible admissions with facility’s interdisciplinary team.
• Assist in completing necessary forms and makes arrangements for assistance whenever indicated and involves the family or responsible party whenever desirable.
• Follows the home’s Corporate Compliance program policies; identifies and immediately reports any potential violations of the policy to the Department Manager/Administrator.
• Performs other assignments as requested.

Position Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be proficient with MS office products, such as Word, and Excel
• Must have knowledge of legalities and regulations of occupational and environmental health, safety, and sanitation
• Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
