As a Platform Architect on the API Design team you will be responsible for the design of the APIs supporting client user experiences on various channels (web, mobile, etc.), as well as integrations with partners. This person will NOT be coding. If they have worked on REST APIs (as architects, designers or developers) in the past as part of a company, that is good. They have to be able to understand REST fundamentals more than anything else. Should be able to articulate various aspect of REST – like usage of verbs, how to design resources, how data model should be, etc. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product, experience and integration teams across enterprise to provide a detailed API specification • Help maintain and identify improvements to REST API standards • Provide formal design assessments for API specifications based on proposals from development teams • Identify and assist in implementation of automation for the validation and approval of design specifications • Provide guidance and messaging around standards and best practices for the implementation of REST APIs • Work with infrastructure engineers to ensure smooth deployments and sustainable performance for the platform Skill - • Github or other distributed versioning control • Java + JAX-RS web services development • Familiarity with Node.js • Enterprise continuous integration and layered testing principles
