The successful candidate will work as part of the Sales and CRM application team under the CIO organization to architect, manage and deliver solutions across the New Equipment Sales platform. This role will lead the architectural design and implementation of new features and functionalities for the Sales and CRM application suite through a strong focus on modernization, current technologies and best practices in the solutions. This role will additionally collaborate with the World Headquarters and Global regional teams to design and implement integrations with other local and enterprise systems.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on eCommerce application architecture, integration development initiatives, analyzing business requirements and crafting appropriate, cost-effective, and logical solutions, including design and architect B2B eCommerce platforms.
- Architect new features on the New Equipment .NET Sales platform utilizing current technologies and best practices
- Perform requirement analysis for enhancement requests including identification of scope of change, impact of change, and cost and effort to implement change
- Coordinate with World Headquarters and Globally dispersed regional application teams to architect integration solutions with other enterprise systems and tools
- Develop architectures for cloud transformation of the .NET Sales platform
- Develop tools and processes to perform workload migrations, including 3rd party software and SAAS software evaluations
- Develop the roadmap for the modernization of on-premise and cloud architectures for the New Equipment .NET Sales platform
- Ensure architecture accounts for cyber security controls and compliance
- Develop cost-based analysis to evaluate pros/cons of on-premise vs. cloud based technologies for future of the New Equipment Sales platform
- Initiate PoCs to validate technical approaches and architectures
- Collaborate and partner with multi-functional teams (Business SME, Development team, Mobile, Infrastructure, Support, Data Analytics and external vendors) including triaging issues across teams.
- Transform complex business requirements into candidate system architectures which also meet security and availability requirements
- Lead teams in the design and build of internal, customer and prospect sites ensuring best practices in design, usability, SEO and UI are incorporated
- Lead efforts to revitalize and redesign current digital platforms and practices to improve operating effectiveness
- Provide analysis, planning, modeling and implementation of various integration methods, patterns, and projects, including integration to various vendor and/or in-house developed business applications
- Develop enterprise architecture and roadmaps for specific portfolio domains
- Create Logical and Conceptual Enterprise level Architecture with multiple systems involved in depth of technical/functional knowledge in technology
- Release management of multiple application teams - Report to senior leadership what golives are planned for the upcoming weeks. Includes signoffs, golive dates, release notes, version numbers
Education/Certifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience, is required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years in the IT industry with increasing wide systems solution architecture, integrations, infrastructure and cloud expertise.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse business systems, technologies and processing environments
- Technical architecture, solution design and systems development experience
- 5+ years experience with Database Platforms and supporting infrastructure (SQL, Oracle, MySQL)
- 5+ years experience with Web Applications Design and architecture (Web services, C#, .NET framework, JQuery, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS and Web components)
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud platforms, preferably Azure; Experience with CDN, App Services, Infrastructure as Code, FrontDoor, CI/CD pipelines, Blob Storage, Azure Redis Cache including compliance and security standards.
- Strong Experience with systems integration using APIs.
- Understand both Agile and Waterfall SDLC processes
- Experience with development planning tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Ability to understand the strategic ("big picture") and tactical perspectives of situations
- Ability to discuss various architecture/technology approaches and influence at the client Director/VP level
- Strong interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, collaboration and negotiation
- Strong planning, facilitation and organizational skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, AWS, or similar cloud platforms
- Experience with Microservices
