Responsibilities:
Peraton is looking for a
Software Developer to participate in the development and maintenance of custom code in support of cutting-edge software initiatives, including applications designed to assist digital forensic and malware analysis operations. The candidate will actively contribute to cyber capabilities development and deployment to address emerging mission requirements. Some of the responsibilities of this role include software development, technology recommendations, application security testing, documentation and collaboration with technical government entities. This rewarding and autonomous position directly supports cyber operations and allows for remote work.
What you'll do:
- Develop and engineer automated operational solutions, including augmenting current software solutions through a combination of Python, Web, and API development
- Lead efforts to build and use automation technologies, while collaborating with internal teams to fix and improve products
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience; OR Master's degree and 6+ years of experience. However, equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- 4 years of experience directly related to the following:
- Python and JavaScript application development
- Docker/Kubernetes
- Modern development practices to include Agile and Git
- Bug tracking systems such as Jira and Gitlab
- Development with cloud computing technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Linux
- This position requires the candidate to possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
Desired qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Experience/familiarity with:
- CI/CD pipeline
- Software development activities in Linux/Windows/Web environments
- Elasticsearch
- Databases, both relational and NoSQL
