Overview:
Spathe is currently searching for a
Program Controls Analysts (PCA
) to join our team in the Tampa, FL area.

Responsibilities:
The Program Controls Analysts (PCA) is a vital member of the program operations team, providing consistent financial and manpower analysis to the outward facing program managers and inward facing executive leadership. Duties of the PCA include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for program financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
- Collects and reviews program and financial data from internal and external sources.
- Tracks program financial position against funding and contract ceilings.
- Creates, maintains, and updates spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports, as required.
- Participate in month-end closing activities to ensure proper cost and revenue recognition.
- Collaborates with assigned project managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.
- Initiates, audits, and tracks Program AR and AP.
- Work with Program Managers and Operations staff to monitor program financial activities for compliance and risk.
- Makes recommendations to management to improve the financial performance of assigned programs.
- Develops budgets and tracks performance to weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly financial report deliverables.
- Develops work breakdown structures; prepare charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems.
- Performs complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems or contractual issues, which would require a report and recommend solutions.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Must have US Citizenship, and the ability to get and maintain a DoD security clearance (required)
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
Experience:
- 3-6 years of related experience
- Exposure to Defense contracting
- Experience in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A strong work ethic, initiative, and motivation
- The ability to work well in a team environment
