Job Description

We are working with a reputable manufacturing organization that is currently seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager at their flagship production facility in the southern Chicago area due to their continued growth. This position will be responsible for the leadership and direction of purchasing activities and procurement personnel. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day to day activities of purchasing/procurement department.
• Develop and manage robust purchasing programs that ensure best possible terms with respect to price, delivery, etc.
• Source and select vendors, negotiate prices and terms, and award purchase orders.
• Work closely and communicate with other departmental leaders on new programs, product specifications, deadlines, and scheduling, etc.
• Maintain pricing contract records.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (business, engineering, supply chain, etc.)
• Automotive experience is highly preferred for consideration.
• 5+ years of purchasing experience within an industrial manufacturing environments.
• 2+ years of direct leadership/management experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
