Job Description

  • Operate in a fast-paced team-oriented environment using a variety of databases and search tools to research and track security threat groups in SCDC.
  • Work independently, or as part of a team or task force to gather information related to specific administrative investigations and disseminate the information in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and maintain correspondence and suspense files and prepare and maintain reports as directed.
  • Provide research, analysis, and technical support to assigned areas.
  • Receive, document and research social media and inmate cell phone tips from outside sources within SCDC.
  • Prepare and present reports or analysis of various technical data as directed through the direction of the director of the division of security or the statewide stg coordinator.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree and professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantified data. A Masters degree in statistics may be substituted for the required work experience.


SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources)
