JOB TITLE: Pediatric General & Thoracic Surgeon
LOCATIONS:
1206 Pleasant Street, 2nd Floor, Des Moines, IA 50309
JOB DUTIES: Provide surgical support for a full-service tertiary care pediatric hospital and complementary clinics, with a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties to join one pediatric surgeon. Serve on a large case volume representing the complete spectrum of pediatric surgical disease including neonatal index cases, solid tumors, and congenital and acquired diseases of the head, neck, thorax, and abdomen. Work on pediatric-appropriate open, laparoscopic, and thoracoscopic instrumentation and an active robotic program. Provide proactive Child Life Services to every patient for every procedure, which are an integral part of inpatient care and are available as needed in the Emergency Department and specialty clinics. Employment at multiple worksites.
REQUIREMENTS: Medical Degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent; Completion of General Surgery Residency Training Program; Completion of Pediatric Surgery Fellowship Training Program; Eligible to sit for certifying examinations in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery; Possess or eligible for Iowa Medical License.
SALARY: $607,530.00/year
