• Extensive hands-on experience with textiles manufacturing

The Softgoods team works with traditional engineering materials and specializes in non-traditional engineering materials. Our mission is to use these incredible materials to enhance Apple’s existing product lines and to enable new technologies. In this role, you will leverage your previous experiences and technical skills to enable new technology development in our lab. Daily tasks will include setting up, maintaining and running textile fabrication machines. Some examples could include (but are not limited to): • Run and maintain manufacturing weaving machine with rapier • Prepare beams with a warper and tie warps on needle loom • Identifying and resolving issues related to machine setup and alignment during warp knitting • Prepare bobbins and run horn gear braiding machine • Program and run flat knitting machine to produce complex patterns

10+ years of experience in the textile industry in adjusting, modifying, maintaining, programming and running textile production equipment B.Sc in a relevant engineering field preferred

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
