The breast ultrasound technologist will work directly and indirectly with radiologists to perform a variety of breast ultrasound procedures that require judgment and ingenuity. The breast ultrasound technologist will also be responsible for responding to any of the patient’s special, physical, emotional, spiritual and/or age-specific related needs.

Required Skills/Expectations:

• Ability to effectively communicate to patients about the procedures and educate women about the role of preventative breast health.
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written and/or verbal instructions.
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound Program

Licenses/Certificates/Registrations

• ARDMS registered or registry eligible in OB/GYN or ABD or Cardiac (echo). Eligible candidates must obtain certification within one year of hire date
• CPR Certified
