Responsibilities:
Valley Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Hospital Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

The HUC will coordinate and maintain a variety of non-clinical and ancillary services of assigned patient care unit(s) in support of nursing services. This is including, but not limited to, maintenance requests, patient supplies, dietary requests, clerical support, answering phones, and related unit-support functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer and disseminate all incoming calls from reception and intake in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist RNs to ensure patient discharges run in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process new patient packets.
  • Update Bed-board and White-Boards with Discharges, Intakes and Transfers.
  • File all Lab Reports; transcribed Psychiatric Doctor’s note and Authorization letters/information in patient files.
  • Assist Internal Medicine Doctors with patients and charts.
  • Attend all mandatory facility in services and staff development activities as scheduled.

Schedule: This is a full-time, position - 12:00pm -8:30pm Monday - Friday

Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Three (3) Years’ experience in administrative function to include hospital/patent care experience.
  • May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
  • Current AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Card within 30 days of employment
