CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One, New York has an immediate opening for a full time Vice President of Podcast Sponsorship Sales. This role is an integral part of the sales team. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and nimble salesperson with a passion for the rapidly growing digital audio industry, as well as a self-starter with a love of engaging audiences through great content.

The rapidly growing Cumulus Podcast Network delivers popular network and industry personalities and programs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving digital audio revenue goals for the Network with a primary focus on podcasting
  • Train and coach the Network’s sales team with respect to digital audio sales strategy and execution
  • Drive results through others, manage team performance and hold team accountable against business metrics
  • Partnering with the Network sales leadership team to drive digital audio ad revenue across the entire sales organization
  • Develop, manage, and implement new digital audio sales initiatives for the Network
  • Attend staff meetings and conferences as directed
  • Propose, create, develop podcast advertising campaigns for new or current major customers to increase podcast sales revenue

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, podcast advertising, marketing, promotion, and collection standards
  • Proven ability to grow new business and find new revenue opportunities
  • Deep understanding of podcast marketplace, customers, and competitors in order to target needs and drive sales
  • A minimum of 4 years digital sales experience with a demonstrable track record for strategic, consultative multi-platform selling
  • An ability to exceed revenue and customer acquisition targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Confidence when pitching and closing business to senior-level executives and clients
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • To be a proven team player with the ability to work well with key members of other departments
  • Sophistication to sell comprehensive multi-platform marketing solutions
  • To be technologically savvy with a proficiency for sophisticated advertising programs and delivery methodologies
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
