Dan Puskar

Dan has led the Public Lands Alliance (PLA) since 2013, renewing the organization’s commitment to connect, strengthen and represent the nonprofit partners of America’s public lands. PLA has doubled its membership in the last five years and is currently comprised of more than 170 nonprofit friends groups, cooperating associations, trail partners and educational institutes. He has testified on Capitol Hill on a diverse array of issues including public lands funding, infrastructure and partnerships. Prior to his current role, Dan led the partnerships and government relations team at the National Park Foundation, where he launched capacity building programs for national park friends groups and advanced the foundation’s legislative and policy agenda. He lives in Washington, D.C. and stays active through hiking, gardening and the flying trapeze
