Diamonique (Diamon) Clark is a Baltimore native who grew into her love for nature as a young adult. She has a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science and is especially passionate about access and justice for Black people in outdoor recreation, education and leadership. Diamon has worked within academia, government and a number of Baltimore-based nonprofits. She currently serves on the board of directors for a wilderness-focused organization called Wild Gift. In 2019, she was named a Baltimore Corps Elevation Awardee as the founder of Black by Nature, an educational fellowship program for Black undergraduate students to enrich their study of ecology and strengthen their connection to nature. While she isn’t working, Diamon is an avid outdoor explorer and enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, paddling, fishing and has even tried dogsledding.
