70%- Provides and documents one on one advice to undergraduate students regarding degree and program options, academic standards, general education, prerequisite requirements, and major courses for specific degrees. Consults and/or elevates outstanding matters that students may have to staff that are more senior. Advises students’ dealing with academic, probationary, and financial concerns. Reviews and processes add/drop withdrawals and program changes. Acquires information for students, including academic, career, financial, psychological, etc., resources.
10%- Assists and participates in student orientation. Prepares packets for orientation sessions and presents orientation materials.
10%- Assists with teaching the student survey course. Utilizes established materials with few alterations to convey content effectively. Attends training and grades course assignments.
10%- Works on assigned advising projects; Performs administrative tasks to support counseling-related functions assigned by Director, which includes performing other duties as assigned; Identifies opportunities for projects and recommends to management; Engages in professional development, participates in unit and university-level opportunities.
