This Chardon-based construction company is looking for an experienced ACCOUNTING & CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR. We offer professional challenges and personal rewards and believe that our company’s success is built on the skills and efforts of each employee.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Finance at our Chardon location. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The right candidate will be a strong addition to our already outstanding team and will help to continue our growth for years to come.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Accounting Administration Duties
· Complete daily bank reconciliations for all entities.
· Complete monthly bank reporting.
· Manage month end close process for all entities.
· Manage fixed asset schedules and related depreciations schedules.
· Manage title paperwork and registrations for all titled equipment.
· Complete monthly and quarterly tax filings in the Ohio Business Gateway.
· Administration of the accounts payable process in Concur.
· Manage high priority accounts payable vendors.
· Assist with year-end financial review by CPA firm.
· Assist with annual budgets.
Contract Administration Duties
· Prepare and review proposals and bids.
· Review contracts and subcontracts, checking to ensure they are accurate and reasonable as well as compliant.
· Job set up.
· Customer invoicing.
· Manage the permitting and registration process.
· Incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail coordination.
· Inventory and ordering office supplies.
· Assist production and operations with scheduling, customer service ,and miscellaneous projects as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
· Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
· Problem solving abilities and a “can do” work ethic.
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
· At least 2 years administrative background preferred.
· At least 2 years accounting background required.
· Construction industry experience is a plus.
· Assertive nature coupled with strong people skills.
· Both project and task-based tendencies.
· Desire to learn the current system all while creating process improvement.
