Job Description

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Advanced Level Provider - Nurse Practitioner.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position purpose

The purpose is to provide patient care assistance under the supervision of a gastroenterologist.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician.
  • Elicit detailed patient histories and does complete physical examinations.
  • Determine tentative diagnosis and orders appropriate laboratory tests.
  • Counsel patient and family on health and disease.
  • Adhere to the standards of medical ethics and laws governing patient care and the practice of medicine.
  • Maintain in good standing licensure with the State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Participate in all continuing education, training and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities.
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations related to position.
  • Comply with all company policies.
  • Work flexible schedule as dictated by business need and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: A master degree in Nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing.

Experience: Gastrointestinal experience preferred.
