Description:

A Cabin Service Agent is responsible for cleaning and preparing the interior of the aircraft. The job involves bending and lifting bags of blankets weighing between 45-50 lbs. Particular duties include vacuuming the floor, picking up trash, washing lavatories, replacing pillow covers, folding blankets, and refilling seat pockets with magazines, and safety information. The job often must be completed within the 10 or 15 minutes allowed before the plane loads passengers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lift and carry cleaning equipment, cleaning trays, and cases of supplies to service the aircraft.
  • In a timely manner, clean passenger seating, vacuum floors and wipe down tray tables so the aircraft is free of debris.
  • Perform aircraft security inspection to comply with government and Company security requirements.
  • Perform a visual inspection of the aircraft to ensure no items are left on board the plane. Return items left by passengers or crew members to the appropriate authority.
  • Mop galleys of aircraft and dispose of trash in designated dumpsters.
  • Restock magazines, Safety information cards, and other supplies on the aircraft.
  • Clean aircraft lavatories and empty waste receptacles.
  • Load supplies onto the cabin service truck and return unused supplies to the designated area.
  • Ensure the cabin service supply room is kept in an organized and neat manner.
  • Check inventory to ensure an adequate supply of items needed to service aircraft.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma
  • The ability to speak, read and write in English
  • The ability to pass a drug test and TSA fingerprint background check
  • The ability to understand and obey all operational and safety procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and lift at least 70 lbs. frequently
  • Have strong verbal communication skills
  • Be willing to work a fixed and rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Be able to stay late and start early as required by flight activity
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work.
