Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift

MUST HAVES

• 3-5 years analytical lab experience
• Accurately records test results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and SAP
• Complies with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good laboratory practices (GLP)
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week as well as overtime as required by the business
• Performs analytical tests for finished goods, intermediates, and other samples per specified test methods (wet bench chemistry and analytical instrumentation)
• Responsible for analytical instrument maintenance and calibration
• Utilizes analytical instruments, including but not limited to, pH meter, moisture balance, colorimeter,rheometer, density meter, Karl Fischer, and dissolution rig

NICE TO HAVES

• Prior analytical experience in a regulated (FDA, Health Canada, etc.) manufacturing environment

Description

• The Analytical Chemist Associate performs physical, chemical or bioanalytical characterization of finished product or raw material test samples.
• Associate applies various chemistry techniques and scientific methods to characterize test materials to enable client experimental objectives.
• Technical deliverables include, but are not limited to: basic bench chemistry techniques (including pH, viscosity and particle size), sample preparation, chromatography, gravimetric analysis).
• Receives and follow instructions on assignment objectives with accuracy and great attention to detail. Spends the largest percentage of time in the laboratory.
• Associate analysts must use their analytical skills to understand how the collected data can affect business decisions, then prepare reports that detail findings and recommend solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instrumentation operation, sample analysis, Notebook documentation, reviewing reports, quality systems compliance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Relevant experience in an academic or industrial lab setting with emphasis on notebook documentation.
• Ability to analyze and document various different types of data.
• Ability to operate basic lab equipment including pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometer, etc.
• Strong math skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• analytical lab: 3 years (Preferred)
