An established educational products client in the Washington, DC area is currently hiring for an experienced FP&A Manager-Operations for an immediate need. This will be a hybrid role which would require 2 days/week in-office and 3 remote. This will be part of the firm’s growing Finance/Operations organization and will be focused in day-to-day activities around budgeting, forecasting, variance and pricing analysis with additional reporting and high-level decision-support focus. This will also take on large-volume data projects requiring strong data analysis skills along with experience leveraging visualization tools like PowerBI. This person will have solid visibility with the firm’s leadership and the ability to interact with several teams throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
• CPA or Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar FP&A facets; previous supervisory/management experience a plus
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Suite applications
• Preferred experience with PowerBI or other data visualization tools
• Previous consumer products or related experience highly preferred
• Experience presenting detailed financial data to senior leadership required
• Ability to manage several projects and initiatives concurrently

• Serve as the key advisor to senior finance/business leadership by providing insightful analysis, persuasive commentary, and relevant data that enable decisions.
• Deeply understand the company’s business model so that Finance’s commentary goes beyond numbers and contextualizes data with business outcomes.
• Provide dashboards, reports and support ad-hoc data requests that provide accurate and meaningful information to enable evidence-based decisions.
• Provide support on RFP process for vendor pricing.
• Lead consolidation and reporting of financial results weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Other duties as assigned.
