Job Description

ITCON Services is seeking to hire a dedicated and skilled Appian Consultant to join our team to aid in the continued development of its custom Applications, related external system integrations and maintain and administrate the Appian Platform. This individual will work with the Digital Automation Team to actively advise and participate in the day-to-day development, operations, and maintenance of the Appian platform.

The Appian Consultant will have the following responsibilities:

• Participate in analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of both custom-built applications on the Appian platform as well as the installation and customization of any solutions from the Appian Marketplace.
• Integrating Appian solutions with external Cloud SaaS and on-prem COTS systems.
• Buildout Reporting Dashboards
• Support data migration activities, such as mapping data elements, using ETL tools and writing stored procedures to migrate data between various databases.
• Work with teams on reviewing and verifying implementation of applications according to design best practices, performance, and security
• Support the preparation and maintenance of application and security documentation as requested from clients.
• Perform troubleshooting of reported production Incidents.
• Perform code reviews and provide code/workflows documentation as requested.
• Develop Training Materials.

This opening is for a full-time salaried position. The contractor will be required to work a hybrid schedule of two days per week on-site in Washington, DC, and 3 days remote.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check,
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA).
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience developing full-time on the Appian platform,
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related IT Industry job,
• Web API development experience,
• Database software development experience with either Maria DB (preferred), MySQL, Postgres, Oracle or MSSQL,
• Have an intermediate/advanced level understanding of web development languages, protocols, and technologies (HTML, CSS, HTTP, JSON),
• Can demonstrate good communications/interpersonal skills,
• Must display proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio),
• Experience drafting training materials & presenting application demos to stakeholders, and
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Note: Knowledge and experience with the following is a plus, but not required:

o Hitachi Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) or related ETL software development experience,

o JavaScript development experience,

o Java development experience, and

o Experience using Click-up, Asana or any related project management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
