Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an AP/AR Specialist.

Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial, academic and government customers. This position is located at our San Diego, CA location and reports to the Director of Design Engineering.

Position Summary:

To support Rock West Composites as well as our affiliated manufacturing and affiliated real-estate companies to maintain current accounts. This position will support various Accounting functions in a high paced environment with potential growth for the right candidate building on accounting knowledge.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Process & prepare payment of vendor invoices
• Input and reconcile credit card transactions
• Process Employee Expense Reports
• Process & receive customer payments and resolve discrepancies
• Follow up on past due customer accounts
• Upload customer invoices to various portals
• Various other clerical tasks
• Assist Accounting at month-end
• Prepare excel spreadsheets and various reporting needs
• Support audits
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors, customers and employees including tasks from the CFO on occasion

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs other clerical duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience (Manufacturing and production industry experience preferred, property management experience in accounting is a plus)
• BA in Accounting or Finance is a plus, but not necessary
• Multi-tasking, detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications- MSWord, Powerpoint, Excel a must
• General Knowledge of NetSuite preferred
• Previous experience working with DCAA and/or overhead pools preferred
