Job Description

The Systems Application Specialist will provide user and system application support and project deployment work with RSM external and internal client servers across the firm. This includes providing support for ongoing system maintenance, assisting with training, testing, system upgrades, reporting and user adoption. The specialist will provide technical support for break/fix as well as support on demand process questions from the users.

Essential Duties:

Systems Administration: (55% of time, average)

  • Work with the support manager to develop and document repeatable processes that improve service delivery
  • Assist and guide users in adherence to system use and data governance standards
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge articles and self-service user tools
  • Manage and coordinate daily tasks and scheduled maintenance and reporting for operations personnel
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 product support to business users through the RSM Service Desk; includes technical and process support
  • Manage and implement data configuration changes in conjunction with business changes, IT processes, and timelines
  • Manage user access and permissions in collaboration with IT processes
  • Monitor time entry and time period close cycles to ensure errors are managed and time entry is moved to the billing system, as needed based on current state[CAL1]
  • Train and develop system administration personnel to grow deep expertise on the team
  • Develop and report service-related metrics to various stakeholders and sponsors to provide issue and usage trends
  • Lead the continuous improvement of supporting our users and systems by applying lessons learned and exploring innovation
  • Work with the product manager to improve the data quality through recurring audits and maintenance routines
  • Develop and recommend data quality standards within the system to ensure consistent user experience for process and reporting
  • Will gain PSA certification or equivalent working knowledge of the product and its potential through training courses and self-education

Project Team Member and Product Support: (30% of time, average)

  • Develop, schedule, and assist with meetings, presentations, and other communications to meet stakeholder and leadership needs specific to the deliverable and audience
  • Provide technical and application support during new releases and patches of software; includes system and operational support, user acceptance, and supporting deployment activities
  • Support and participate in process design initiatives; workflows, reports, form configurations; data mapping, etc.
  • Configure PSA during deployments to align with standard practices and support consistent business processes; complete configuration changes and data loads in collaboration with IT processes
  • Execute and complete assigned project tasks to provide quality plans, reports, training materials, and other assigned deliverables in a timely way during active projects
  • Other duties as assigned. (10% of time, average)

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related business field of study required
  • Dynamics CRM or equivalent experience preferred
  • Unit4 PSA Suite or equivalent experience preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years’ work experience in a role related to system administration, help desk, customer service, software implementation project experience preferred
  • Business or technology consulting experience preferred

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required
  • OneNote, Project, Visio, SharePoint preferred
  • Effective organizational, facilitation, and time management skills required
  • Self-motivated and effectively manages multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Data base administration and/or report development preferred

  • Strong communication skills for differing audiences and situations, including active listening, persuasion, and technical writing; can appropriately translate functional/technical language
  • Holds self and others accountable for sharing knowledge and best practices
