Usesprofessional clinical judgment inas sisting the physician to plan the care for the patient based on theasses sment of the patient'sdiagnosis, needs and response to care. Operate, mo nitors, records, evaluates, and maintains patientinformation. Works in an organizedand timely fashion by prioritizing tasks to ensure efficienta ndefficacious patient care. Meetschallenges of case volumes and patientc are issues to ensure optimalcare and outcomes.Ensures quality and accura cy of reported laboratory data. Reportsvariances to physician andensures that variances have been addressed. Ensures all recorded datais accurat e and makescorrections as needed. Equipment Operation: Operates, inspect s, troubleshoots and performsroutine maintenance forvariety of invasive lab equipment. Daily Room Preparations: Performs daily room QCs and notif iesappropriate people of variances.Prepares procedureroom and equipment for daily use and each procedure.Ensures enough stockon hand toaccommoda te routine daily case volumes. Conducts in-roominventory and supplymanag ement. Is aware of and stores all patient care products accordingtoJCAHO regulations. Data Collection: Documents, retrieves and verify dataneces sary forpatient records. Participate in own professional development by maintaining requiredcompetencies, identifyinglearning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educationalofferings. Minimum Qualifications


Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing required.


Experience

Three years of experience in nursing practice


Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

Must have current or compact RN license in the State of North Carolina. BCLS certification is required. Must obtain a nursing leadership certification within two years of hire of appointment.
