Software Engineering Intern to assist the production team with the programming and assembly of our R&D product line. We are looking for a curious, creative, and mission-driven individual with a technical foundation who is naturally fascinated by the challenges and detail work in enabling
resilient cyber-industrial systems and has the technical capacity to systematically express their problem-solving ideas.
This is a paid internship and will last approximately 10-12 weeks, with the opportunity for full-time employment after the internship is complete.
- Work with Fathom5 engineers to design and integrate new technologies into our cyberphysical testbeds
- Collaborate with team members to write code and integrate new software to our product lines
- Receive 1:1 mentorship from senior engineers
- Learn the Fathom5 product line and make product improvement recommendations
- Develop basic programming proficiency
- Contribute to Company development meetings, daily stand-up, and demo days
- Programming Experience - Experience using one or more statically-typed programming languages (GOLANG, Rust, C, and C++ preferred) with the ability to address advanced programming concepts.
- Clear and effective communication – Written and oral communication skills sufficient to explain and document technical findings in an articulate manner.
- Quick learning – The ability and desire to quickly learn new technology.
- Team-first mentality – The ability and desire to work in a team environment.
- Physical ability – Fitness and medical clearance for lifting and carrying network and computer equipment.
- Currently enrolled in a B.S. Engineering Program (typically Software, Computer, Electrical, or Aerospace) at an accredited four-year university
