Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend project turnover meetings with project management team
  • Verify proper installation
    • Device locations, mounting, wiring
    • Wire tagging, device and panel labeling
  • Point checkout
    • Verify inputs for setup, scaling and calibration
    • Verify outputs operate at multiple levels and for multiple cycles
  • Check consistency
    • Drawings
    • Database
    • Graphics
  • Perform commissioning of DDC system to meet sequence of operation and specification requirements
    • Test sequence of operations
    • Tune PIDs
    • Verify graphics/links
    • Verify trending, reports, alarming setup
  • Provide redline markups on drawings for as-built changes
  • Modify logic block programs as required
  • Modify user graphics as required
  • Document all commissioning activities and complete pre-functional and functional test forms as required
  • Follow all site safety requirements
  • Attend project meetings as required
  • Maintain customer relations to ensure satisfaction

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s or bachelor's degree in related engineering/technology field
  • In lieu of a degree, candidates with 2 years of relevant experience will be considered
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to use a multi-meter to read voltages and troubleshoot low voltage circuits
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills

PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS

  • Experience in engineering design or maintenance of HVAC systems
  • DDC or PLC troubleshooting or programming experience
  • Working knowledge of building automation, mechanical and electrical systems
