Bartender Job Description
Leon's Oyster Shop in downtown Charleston, SC is seeking a hardworking, committed, experienced, and driven bartender to join our team. Leon's opened in 2014 and was named as one of Bon Appetit's 50 Best New Restaurants, Eater's Best New Restaurants, and by Southern Living as one of the Best New Restaurants in the South.
We are an oyster bar on the surface, but so much more: we serve fried chicken, seafood, seasonal salads and vegetables. We've got cheap beer, expensive champagne, and Rose on draft all year round. We are looking for cool, creative, easy-going but professional people to join our team.
We want a bartender that likes being part of a busy, fast paced restaurant while also keeping a high level of service for our guests. It's a great learning opportunity and is full of opportunities for growth.
Must love good food, great craft cocktails, champagne, soul music, and old school spots.
We have a great team that must work extremely well together as a team to ensure we are producing a great experience and providing our guests with top quality service. We expect our bartenders to have the best food, wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge in the restaurant and we also expect them to educate themselves on a regular basis both inside and outside of work. More over, we want someone behind the bar with a big, warm personality, who can make every guest feel like they have known him/her for years and will have the guests coming back for more.
